Verizon users had an unpleasant Wednesday with the widespread outages clustered in major cities across America. As of 10:20 pm on Jan. 14, Verizon says that the outages have been resolved, but even if you're back online, it may have left a sour taste in your mouth. If you're looking to switch mobile carriers, now is the time as Verizon's competitors have some well-timed deals for new customers.

If your contract is up, that means switching is easier and you jump on some extremely cheap savings from newcomer Mint Mobile. If your contract isn't paid off though, AT&T and T-Mobile have enticing deals to make it worth your while.

Here are the best new customer deals at AT&T, Mint Mobile, and T-Mobile.

T-Mobile is following AT&T's lead in helping new customers pay off their old contract. T-Mobile is also offering customers up to $800 per line to pay off their old contract. It's not as expansive as AT&T's deal as T-Mobiles will only cover up to four lines. That being said, it's still a great deal if T-Mobile is the carrier you hope to switch to.
