When it came to movies, 2025 was outstanding. Critics and audiences alike were awed by such sensational films as Sinners, Hamnet, One Battle After Another, The Secret Agent, and No Other Choice — just to name a few. But which of these will earn a coveted Oscar nod? Today's the day we find out.

Academy Award nominee Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman announced the nominations for the 98th Academy Awards in a live presentation from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. So how many of our favorites made the list? And who didn't?

Sinners got a record-breaking 16 Oscar nominations, One Battle After Another scored 13, Marty Supreme earned nine, and Hamnet received seven nominations, but nothing for our favorite sad boy, Paul Mescal.
