That's one way to test it.

YouTuber JerryRigEverything dubbed the iPhone Air a "ridiculously strong phone" — so much so that he needed a blowtorch to finish a disassembly.

JerryRigEverything famously breaks electronic devices to show viewers the guts of their favorite phones. His most recent video focuses on the Air, and if you've never seen a phone get blowtorched, well, I recommend it. It's pretty neat and a necessary step for removing a titanium exterior strip from the interior parts of the phone.

It's nearly hypnotizing to see the titanium turn bright orange as the torch keeps piling on the heat.

Breaking a phone by accident is never fun. But watching somebody do it on purpose? That's a great time.
